Alpha Alpha Omicron Zeta chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated was chartered on January 12, 2015. Our chartering ceremony was held on a snowy Saturday afternoon in late February, on the campus of Holy Family University, in Northeast Philadelphia, PA. History was made as it became the first 4 letter chapter to be chartered in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The idea of chartering this chapter was conceived during the summer of 2014. Several local Sorors came together with a purpose and a plan to provide service throughout the communities of Northeast Philadelphia and Bucks County, PA. A business plan was created which showed the areas of Northeast Philadelphia and Bucks County, PA was without Zeta representation. A pivotal meeting was held in December 2014, where our findings were presented to the Atlantic Regional Director and the International President, with a result that granted Alpha Alpha Omicron Zeta chapter it’s charter after the recommendation from the Pennsylvania State Director. Alpha Alpha Omicron Zeta chapter continues to widen its reach and provide dynamic community service to the residents of Northeast Philadelphia and Bucks County, PA. We are the AWESOMELY AMAZING AAOZ!
